Tears of searing pain
Fall from my eyes like burning rain
A tempetuous mind I have again
Storm wrothed, my mind goes insane
Joy unkown, happiness unforetold
Wracks my body with warmth, bannishing the cold
Taking with it this debilitating feeling of old
Giving me back the soul I once sold
Torn I am between my heart and mind
One is good, the other not so kind
If I were to go, what would I leave behind?
To return, what would be here, to there out shine?
I seek a love never felt
To keep me warmer…

The glinting gleam of evening dew,
A sparkling reminder of something true,
Giving the grass a starry hue,
Like the stars that I see within you.
Sitting on the ground wet and chilled,
I find solace in your eyes, and my heart is filled
With never ending warmth, an ever lasting shield,
As your troubled mind is cradled and stilled.
In my lap is where you lay,
Where it has been throughout the day,
And my heart could not burn brighter or be more gay,
Just because "I love you" is what I hear you say.…

Look into my eyes and see the truth
For when I look in to your's
I see eternal beauty and youth
Gaze upon my smile and see the mirth
For when I'm thinking of you
There can be no greater joy on Earth
Harken unto my boundless laughter
And know that because of you
I shall know happiness forever after
Witness in me the roaring fire
These flames that shine ever bright
Warm my heart, burning me with desire
Lend to me your most glorious ears:
Night and Day I wish to say:
Be with me for the rest of…

I need your hug,
I need your embrace.
I need the warmth of being near your face.
I need your laugh
For when I cry,
I need the reassurance or your eye.
I need your love,
I need your song,
As I lie next to you all night long.
I need your touch,
The touch of your lips.
To taste the wine you just sipped.
I need your smile.
I need your glee.
I need your happiness to remain with me.

In honor of April's National H_NGM_N Month, we're kicking off our newest initiative: H_NGM_N // Open Source.
Open Source is an online anthology of poems. Members are free to post up to 3 poems - no submission process, no rejections. It's completely open source. I'm trusting you to put up dazzling, essential work that matters for the H_NGM_N // W_RLD community to read. Though the anthology is viewable by anyone, only members of H_NGM_N // W_RLD can contribute.

Tomaz Salamun's e-chap "Curtis Harnack Wrapped Me in a Shawl" is up at SCP

from Tomaz Salamun's "Curtis Harnack Wrapped Me in a Shawl":
poetry must be made of music, moths!
I buried my soul in the sand so it would lie there for a while
to hide and get crust, to be made safe
so the devil when he bites will slide with his teeth
giants’ anthems, covered shoulders
I chopped off my hair, toes, black thresholds of paintings
I fodder princes, I don’t t…

leaving
I am leaving Korea tomorrow. It is time to leave. I’ve been here for 3.5 years, but this is not my home. I love it here, but I do not want to grow old here. So I have a plane ticket and a plan for next fall. This spring and summer will be one of rest and sun. And next fall, it will be back to school, this time as a student. I have been accepted at a few schools in the UK. I am still not sure where I will be going. In the past few months I’ve completed two books. One book took me eight y…

H_NGM_N #4 featured the art of Marc Brotherton. I'm pretty thrilled to offer up two new pieces here, exclusive H_NGM_N // W_RLD content.
What has always drawn me to Marc's work is the fact that it seems to play by rules - little swirling atoms jut off & the oddly symmetrical feeling makes it almost scientific. But there is an immense playfulness here as well.

Rainy & cold here in the Deep South. Still, inclement weather can't stop the rush of announcements from H_NGM_N C_NTRAL. We've just added Clay Matthews to our editorial structure & now I can say that Robert Krut has also been added to the roster as an Associate Editor.
I'm thrilled to have this team in place. Bob's work has a strong narrative & discursive style, something he's able to amp into the realm of the sensationally inclusive. Together, we're going to chart some gre

For some time, I've felt like H_NGM_N needed a real editorial structure. I've always been torn because...well, frankly, I like the fact that it is my magazine & that no one else was picking poems. I knew if I was going to bring someone on board as an Associate Editor, they would need to be someone I liked personally & trusted aesthetically, someone who knew the literary scene, the ins & outs of editing, & who was also familiar with H_NGM_N.
So: welcome new Associate Edi

H_NGM_N HQ took delivery of an email over the weekend notifying that Chris Rizzo's poem "ZONE" has been selected by the editors of the forthcoming BEST OF THE WEB print anthology from Dzanc Books.
Also, a nifty blog info service, This Recording, just released a kind of small press awards announcement, naming Julia Cohen's recent H_NGM_N B_ _KS chap, Who Could Forget the Sensational First Evening of the Night, as winner in the category of "Best Chapbook Design."
Congrats all around.
